Airport without visitors?
It almost happened at Hanover Airport: In the reception building, there was a risk to life for visitors in the event of a thunderstorm. The insurance coverage was in danger of expiring and would have resulted in the station building being shut down!
The roof of the affected building is provided with a variety of antennas and other structures. A nightmare for every lightning protection engineer who uses the conventional lightning protection method in his planning.
With this, the separation distances to the antenna systems could not be maintained. An innovative solution had to be found:
By installing the Lightning Protection System 3000, the protection requirements on the roof could be met and the safety of visitors restored. For this purpose, two terminals and low-resistance, insulated lead wires were sufficient.
